Three items I need to get reaquainted with:

1) George Lawrence Stone - Stick Control
2) Ted Reed - Syncopation for the Modern Drummer
3) My metronome

My neighbours love me at nine in the morning.

I'm with you there brother. Most mornings once I get the kids on the bus and before work, I head downstairs and wail away for 10 minutes or so playing whatever I feel like. It would do this man good to get back to some good ol' fashioned woodshedding!

Ditto! Now that I've got a freezer full of chicken stock, getting my face out of the fridge and back to the ivories just might be a good idea. I feel like I'm playing with boxing gloves on these days...

Oscar Peterson once said that he spent a year practicing scales for seven hours a day, every day. Then, he never went back - from that point on, he just *played*. Righteous!

PS - love the metronome site...
